1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using roux, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

roux is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized dinner recipe suggestions based on your stated preferences. The service includes:

• Daily AI-generated dinner suggestions
• A recipe library for saving favorites
• A free-form recipe request ("Ask") feature
• Preference learning over time

3. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to use roux. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your profile preferences up to date.

One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent trial or free-tier limits is prohibited and will result in account termination.

4. Free Trial and Subscription

roux offers a 3-day free trial with full access to all features upon account creation.

After the trial:

• Free tier: 1 suggestion/day, 1 Ask/day
• Paid subscription ($3.99/month): 5 suggestions/day, 15 Asks/day, unlimited saves

The paid subscription includes a 30-day free trial before billing begins. Subscriptions auto-renew monthly. You may cancel at any time in your device's App Store or Play Store settings. No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods except where required by law.

5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

roux is NOT a substitute for professional medical or dietary advice. Nutritional estimates (calories, protein, etc.) are approximations and may not be accurate. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for dietary guidance related to health conditions.

Allergy and dietary restriction filtering is provided on a best-effort basis. AI systems can make mistakes. If you have a severe food allergy or life-threatening dietary restriction, ALWAYS verify every ingredient in a recipe before cooking and consuming it. roux accepts no liability for allergic reactions or adverse health outcomes.

6. Intellectual Property

roux and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by the developer and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

AI-generated recipes are produced at your request for your personal use. You may not commercially reproduce or distribute recipe content generated by the service.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape the application
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent limits
• Interfere with or disrupt the service's infrastructure
• Use the service to generate content that is harmful, offensive, or illegal

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, roux and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to health outcomes from following AI-generated recipes.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without prior notice. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is located, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
